I am 39 weeks pregnant (as of tomorrow) and I am just wondering how normal it is for baby to have hiccups? I know hiccups in the fetus are completely normal but I have also read other things such as that frequent hiccups in fetus could be a sign of the cord being wrapped around their neck?? She never had hiccups during pregnany until about 2 weeks or less ago, that is why I am concerned.. so I am wondering if it could be a sign of anything serious.

Fetal hiccups are normal. Don't worry. If you read that info from the internet, you cannot believe everything on there, it will have you thinking that you have every illness under the sun. If your daughter is moving, and you hear her heartbeat when you're at the OB's office then she is ok. Believe me if hiccups weren't normal, your doc would have told you to look out for them in all of the precautionary info thafrequent baby hiccupst they give you early in the pregnancy. Relax, you've got one more week or so then she'll be in your arms :)
ive read and asked midwife about this because from week 32 my baby has hiccups 2-3 times a day for about 5 mins and i was told that this is a sign that she is now able to swallow and that her lungs are getting stronger so hiccups are actaully a positive sign.
my sis in law had cord wrapped around baby and she said she felt very bad uncomfortable cramping and just felt relly uncomfortable to the point where she knew something was wrong and made it to hospital in time where they did a c section after nmonitoring baby heart beat
Mine has been having hiccups at least three times a day since 20 weeks. We even caught him on the ultrasound with the hiccups and multiple times when they go to check his heartbeat he has them. It is perfectly normal. If you are really concerned, calfrequent baby hiccupsl the doctor to put your mind at ease but I promise you it is nothing so don't get yourself worked up!
hiccups is completely harmless. When my baby hiccups i used to thought tat he was making music wit my tummy. My sisters even thought tat it was her baby farting in her tummy. But yes its normal nothing to be scared of. My first one hiccup every single day and it was fine. So dont stress urself out about it.
my daughter had constant hiccups in the womb. i asked the ob about it and she said that it means absolutely nothing:) try not to worry, if you need to, call your dr and ask them about it.
verything will be fine. Its normal. 宝贝疙瘩s in the womb can hiccup, sneeze, suck their thumb, have breathing movements, and much more!
