okay so limewire wasn't working very well
& i know sometimes if you uninstall it & re install it
it will work & i used to just type in
free download limewire in google search engine
but every time i try & download a limewire
it shows up the 5.10 version or whatever
all i want is my basic 4.18.8
DOES ANYONE have a link for it PLEASE

I had a similar problem but unfortunately I don't think you can get the old one back. I tried so free download basic limewire 4.18.8many ways and I couldn't. I had to download the 5.10 and let me tell you it is completely different. I actually think it kinda sucks compared to the older one. You have less options now and it doesn't pull up nearly as much music as before. Sorry for the diappointing news. But if you find a way to get it back please let me know!!!!
ya so limewire is horrible i used to use it like 2-3 years ago. i suggest, if you are going to download, go to www.download.com and get a programfree download basic limewire 4.18.8 called utorrent after that is installed you can go to www.torrent-finder.com and get everything that limewire offers at better speeds and the community rates the file for more reliable downloads
Yer, i had the same problem about 1 year back, i unstalled it and when i came back to find it updated my email address didnt work when i tried to reinstall it at limewire site so i brought a yearly pass instead!!
