free panda antivirus scanAny free antivirus better than malware bytes?

my computer has been slow and i did a malware bytes and a panda antivirus scan and it showed up as nothing and i think i have something that none of them are detecting any help?
i would get rid of panda and keep Malwarebytes ... an earlier poster described malware-vs-viruses better than what I have time to type here anyway .... I would recommend Avira for a virus scanner replacement ... I recently had issues with Avast slowing my laptop to a crawl, but i do plan on giving it a second chance with some of the extra options (p2p scan .. boot scan that seems to slow windows down alot )

BTW, i did REMOVE Avira completely before installing avast (just in case someone plans on mentioning i should "have done that" )

In my opinion AVAST is the best antivirus
none of the free ones have rootkit protection except AVAST
none of the free ones have boot scan except AVAST
boot scan is a scanner that boots up before windows does on a powerup and
free panda antivirus scanscans the computers drives before the operating system loads. it cleans the bugs before they get turned on by the OS. It also has a small footprint and isn't a resource hog so it won't slow your computer down like a mcafee or security suite
Ok for your information Malwarebytes' Anti-malware detects Malware, which is one of the three types of infections for computers. The three main types are Adware, Malware and Virus. Also get rid of panda AV before installing Microsoft Security Essentials.

1. Get into the Windows 2000 / XP Safe mode, as the computer is booting press and hold your "F8 Key" which should bring up the "Windows advanced Options Menu". Use your arrow keys to move to "Safe Mode w/ Networking" and press your Enter key.

<----Only if you don't have Windows 2000/XP

2. <---- Free scan it removes anything harmful on your computer and puts it in quarantine or in other words stops the virus. The scan is a very deep and detafree panda antivirus scaniled scan from Microsoft, which is very secure.

3. Get Malwarebytes' boughten version, it gives you a lot more features and you don't have to manually update or scan.

4. I use Microsoft Security Essentials Anti-virus/Spyware & Malware. I never had a problem ever since I had all this with my computer.
Before you leave to go back on normal mode be sure to do a full scan.

5. (OPTIONAL) Download Ccleaner which will help delete invalid registrys and clean up your computer a bit.
my has been the same way. & i also scaned it with avast antivirus i have but nothing shows up. I dont know if i need to clean my computer or that my antivirus isn't working right. Good question

This is the best free AV for windows pc's. I used to swear by AVG, but I can't stand it after using MS Security Essentials.
Try Microsoft's Security Essentials. It is fast and has a good detection rate.
