I realize there's going to be an iPad 3 within a few months although I've asked for the iPad 2 for Christmas. However, I don't want to wait and was planning on buying it and then getting the iPad 3 as it's released. However, what is the fastest and highest way to re-sell it? Apple doesn't offer a trade-in program, but what about BestBuy? How could I trade-in an iPad 2 at BestBuy for the iPad 3?

I ipad 2have never seen such a case of putting the cart before the horse. My son had an iPad 1 and was offered $120 for it by Apple. Either cool your jets and wait for an iPad 3, whenever it will be--and not as soon as you think, or quit your belly-aching and be happy with the iPad 2.

They are pretty amazing and should be enough for whatever you need. If I were your mom, I might be tempted to give you a notepad and a pack of colored pencils. Why? You seem a bit ingipad 2rateful and entitled, though I might be reading you wrong.

If you ARE lucky enough to GET an iPad 2, you should be satisfied, instead of trying to angle for something better. Good grief!
Buy the "BuyBack" program when you buy the iPad 2 from Best Buy, use the iPad 2 until the iPad 3 comes out and then trade the iPad 2 for the iPad 3. Make sure to KEEP THE RECEIPT.
ipad 2 will still be here in 2 years.
