i think i have a virus on my computer, coz it's getting slower and my anti virus program(McAfee) just stopped working for no reason. where can i get the best anti virus programs for free?
I use both Ad-Aware and Spybot Seek & Destroy. They each find stuff that the other doesn't, but together form a very good team. Both free downloads are linked below.
1) Get AVG Anti Virus (free )==> this should be best
as it allows u updates on

2) Sophos Anti Virus (freeware )- cannot update
3) Sophos Anti Virus ( 30days trial version ).
o If McAfee stopped it could mean file corrupted . Go reload

Go to Microsoft Explorer free mcafee antivirus download programor microsoft.com. Do a search for anti virus. Or type in F-Secure Internet Security 2006. They offered a six month trial period for this software. I ended up buying it after a couple months and I'm happy with it.
Or go to www.download.com. The rest is self explanatory.
Microsoft also offers its own anti virus for free. I prefered the F-Secure.
